VIDEO -- Raj Patel on American Democracy
This clip is the last of PhilanthroMedia's four featured speakers from a Thursday evening event at Cooper Union, hosted by World Hunger Year (WHY) called Step up to the Plate: Ending the Food Crisis. Raj Patel is a Fellow at Food First and the author of Stuffed and Starved: The Hidden Battle for the World Food System
Patel spoke about how important America is to the global food policy system, and about the ways that Americans need to take responsibility for that roll. He warned of the importance of taking our democracy seriously, and he cautioned that Americans can not simply settle for the choices available every four years.
Join WHY and their partners in a Call to Action to adopt comprehensive food system reforms.
