VIDEO -- Youth on the Road to Public Policy Careers

Yesterday's post pointed to an example of how two conservative foundations made strategic grants which contributed to a major shift on the Supreme Court. Today's post focuses on a program funded, in part, by the Open Society Institute and intended advance progressive public policy.

If you aren't careful, this brief PhilanthroMedia video might just restore your faith in the youth of America. It follows 14 already-established college activists through a two-week summer institute intended to set them on career paths in progressive public policy. Conducted by the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy, it provides another example of how small but leveraged grants can lay the groundwork for profound social change.
